Kroos, 34, has enjoyed a stellar career, winning multiple Champions League titles and a World Cup with Germany.

Toni Kroos, the 34-year-old German midfielder who currently plays for Real Madrid and the German national team, has announced that he will retire from professional football at the end of the season. Kroos made the announcement on his social media channels on Friday, May 19, 2023.

Kroos has had a decorated career, winning five Champions League titles with Real Madrid, a World Cup with Germany in 2014, and numerous other domestic titles in Germany and Spain. He has also been named the German Footballer of the Year twice and has been included in the FIFA FIFPro World XI three times.

In a statement, Kroos said that he made the decision to retire after careful consideration and that he believes it is the right time for him to step away from the game. He thanked his family, friends, teammates, and coaches for their support throughout his career.
